Deep Sea Diving

Roberts wrote this article to bring attention to our under water creatures. The fact that our underwater creatures are becoming extinct and most people aren't paying attention bothers him. The audience is everybody but mostly other scientists. If other scientists or pro earth people realize what’s going on, precautions will be made to stop it. He formed this article using regular paragraphs. His tone was formal using other research he collected and the names of different species of animals. The author made it a point to seem like his biggest fear would be that jelly fish and algae would take over the sea. What made this article relevant was the fact that this issue is going on right now. There are debates on what fishermen should do. Roberts want people to start paying more attention to the sea before we no longer have any whales, sharks or certain type of fish.

Do You Know What You're Doing?

Robert Pfeiffer wrote an article called "Connecting To Texts: Writing A Literary Analysis" about analyzing different pieces of work. The context of the article is explaining to students how to properly analyze different works. The purpose the author wrote this article was to inform students on a certain technique while they are reading. The genre is a formal argument. I say formal because he gives example on how to do it right. the audience is mainly for students but it can also before anyone who reads literature and wanted to analyze the work they were reading. The style is formal and the arrangement is he puts a paragraph then bullets. The paragraph explains and the bullets give examples.
